Pamela Joseph Watercolor on Paper
Candy Factory
2004
Watercolor on Paper
10.75 x 8.75 in.

"For her first exhibition in Spain, Pamela Joseph will be showing her sensual Madonnas in their incomparable beauty. Once again the artist demonstrates her brilliant style, making us perceive that her subject is not a strange anachronism. Painting about the Virgin is a familiar theme, but Joseph provides a new aesthetic language with which to understand the Madonna, this mystical woman who became a myth. With a sense of playfulness and humor, she creates a contemporary perspective of a Mary who is an independent and modern woman.
